Colonial Country Club first opened for play in 1973. The course was designed by Gene Hamm.
Never one to disturb nature, Hamm carved the Colonial Country Club golf course layout through hardwood forests leaving the natural contours of the land to provide the character of the course. The result was a wonderful test of golf that thrills golfers to this day.This is a fairly challenging golf course with well-manicured greens and narrow fairways. There are water hazards that come into play on four holes.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6,605 yards. From the foward tees the course plays to 5,203 yards and a Ladies par of 73. The longest hole on the course is # 3, a par-5 that plays to 505 yards. The shortest hole on the course at Colonial Country Club is # 8, a par-3 that plays to 172 yards from the back tees.
